Is Photography Becoming TOO Easy? | The Problem With Modern Cameras

Photography has never been easier.

Modern cameras can autofocus, calculate exposure, recognise subjects, reduce noise and produce incredibly polished images with almost no technical knowledge required. And smartphones have taken this even further, using computational photography and AI to combine frames, improve dynamic range, remove distractions and create images that would have required considerably more skill just a few years ago. But is that actually a good thing?

In this Coffee Break Photography video, Rich Dyson asks a slightly uncomfortable question: Is photography becoming too easy? Has technology simply removed the boring technical barriers and allowed us to concentrate on creativity? Or are we losing some of the skills that actually make us photographers?
