Video Transcript

Hello, today’s Espresso Coffee Break Photography wraps up some interesting photography-related stories reported by various websites in the last couple of days. I’ll read everything and summarise it for you, so that you don’t have to! The links to the original articles are all below this video.

Canon RF 35mm f1.4L

According to Canon Rumours, the Canon 35mm f1.4 L lens will be announced in mid-May. The lens will have some new “video features” related to autofocus. Canon has previously hinted that future lenses in the RF range will be focused on video and hybrid features. When the announcement is made, we might see the direction Canon will be heading in for the next few years.

Great deal on Sony gear

Calling all Sony shooters or those considering a switch! WEX has some exciting April deals for you. One standout offer is the Sony A7 IV with a 24 to 105-millimetre F4 lens. This powerful combo, usually priced at £3,399, is now available for just £3,199.  But wait, there’s more! By using the code SONY250 at checkout, you can enjoy an additional £250 off. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to upgrade your gear. Visit https://wexphotovideo.com for more details.

Why has nobody done this before?

Over at Digital Camera World, they are testing a new camera from Olympus, the OM-1 Mark II. They’ve created a quick teaser video of a feature I’ve thought should exist for years. In-camera graduated neutral density filters. Once the feature is switched on in a menu item, you can apply the effect of a graduated filter without the need to carry filters around with you! It’s a great little feature from one of the lesser-thought-of camera manufacturers.
